Choral Society Announces Winners of 2022 Voices of the Future Competition
Doylestown, PA- The Bucks County Choral Society is pleased to announce the winners of Voices of the Future, a solo voice competition for students in grades 9-12 who live in or attend school in Bucks County. Laney Humble (Central Bucks South), won the grand prize of $1,000 following a masterclass on April 16, 2022 at the James Lorah Memorial Home in Doylestown. The master class was conducted by Paul Spencer Adkins, a renowned tenor and voice teacher. A winner of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and the Philadelphia and Princeton Metropolitan Opera auditions, Mr. Atkins has enjoyed an extensive career in opera and teaching across the country and internationally. His students have starred on the opera and Broadway stages, and have won Tony, Oscar, and Golden Globe awards. He currently teaches voice at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
Three additional finalists, Katie Dina (Council Rock South), Ellie Kuhnle (Central Bucks West), and Janki Namboodiripad (Pennsbury), each received a prize of $500.
Through the Voices of the Future program, the Choral Society seeks to kindle a passion for choral music in high school students, foster high standards of musicianship, support the professional development of outstanding young singers, and promote choral excellence while inspiring personal development.

Paul Spencer Adkins
A winner of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and the Philadelphia and Princeton Metropolitan Opera auditions, tenor Paul Spencer Adkins has enjoyed an extensive career in opera and teaching across the country and internationally. His students have starred on the opera and Broadway stages, and have won Tony, Oscar, and Golden Globe awards. He currently teaches voice at University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
